Obama calls ISIS 'killers with good social media'

Since the Paris attack from ISIS Obama responds with a comment about the group  calling them '' a bunch of of killers with good social media''.  Obama goes on to talk about how ISIS is only trying to get us afraid and wants to keep us always on alert for attacks. There is no war with the entire religion because the United States will not fight a religion because we are made up on multiple religions. Obama claims that sending troops to fight ISIS would be a mistake. Obama is not willing to give the war that ISIS wants. The House has passed a bill that won't allow Syrian and Iraqi refugees.

What should Obama do to keep ISIS under control?

Do you think that troops should be sent to fight ISIS even though Obama sees it as a mistake?

  1. Obama should make more alliances with nearby countries in the middle east to keep ISIS in check, like working with the Kurds. Obama needs to increase security especially in the airports and borders. Sending troops to fight ISIS would be illogical because the war would be using drones.

  2. He is smart by not sending troops to fight ISIS. ISIS is smart enough to not inform us when they're going to attack, otherwise we would just shut them down every time they threaten us. To keep ISIS under control he should aid the groups that oppose them instead of sending his troops. He should start propaganda against them to start a rebellion in some way and to reinforce the rebellion.

  3. I think that obama should threaten to nuke ISIS. We need to put a real scare in them so they have reasons to stop, and eventually we need to send in troops. It would not be a mistake to send in troops because if we dont, they will continue to attack the U.S. We are more powerful and have a very strong military which allows us to threaten them. This would not be a mistake.

  4. Obama should just do nothing and just have allied countries just in case ISIS does attack. I don't think that troops should be sent to fight ISIS even though Obama sees it as a mistake because it will just make it worse and it will not only harm the US, but it will also harm the entire world.

  6. I think Obama should work to gather support from other nearby countries and other countries in general, because I think it is better to have more support than less support, especially since it's such a hard problem to find a solution to. To keep them under control, I think the support of nearby countries will help, since they can keep an eye on them due to how close they are.
I don't really think troops should be sent in to fight ISIS. I think that it's such a hard enemy to fight on the ground, and to find them would be difficult and just cause more death than neccessary.

  7. I believe something needs to be done. The longer we wait, the harder it will be to rid the world of ISIS's grasp. Changing airport security should be a priority because of how inefficient it is, redoing the system would allow for changes to make it safer and more fluid

  10. Obama has been using air strikes to keep ISIS under control however it is not working. He might need to increase the amount of air strikes, and have more troops on the ground. Having eyes on the ground could potentially improve the United States' combat capabilities. And lastly we could try working with the Sunni tribes and others who have not yet been overtaken
